Paneer Tikka Masala Rankings

  1. Mango Grove

I have yet to find a better paneer tikka masala... Curry is next level, naan is garlic'd up to the gills, it's right next to a river, staff are funny and nice (and remember your order when you keep showing up).

  2. Royal Taj

Never before have I had my water re-filled at such a rate, let alone by ten different people all wearing tuxedos. Nor had the owner ask how the food was and if I wanted anything else, as we walked out the door. But they didn't actually have paneer tikka masala! So we got the malai kofta and I pretended like it was just paneer. It was excellent, but not as good as Mango Grove.

  3. Himalayan Grill

The curry is a bit too creamy for my liking, but otherwise it gets top marks. Also, free lentil soup :)

  4. Chutney Indian Restaurant

Nice atmosphere, there were a lot of people but the restaurant held them well. Good food, but just a tiny bit less impressive than the others above.

  5. Basmati

Basmati had a lot going for it with the atmosphere (well-decorated, dim lighting), if the food delivered it would be really high ranking. Unfortunately, the rice was clumpy and not fragrant, the tikka masala was watery and thin, the paneer was underwhelming. Still tasty overall, but disappointing.

  6. Royal Tandoor

Someone recommended Royal Taj, we forgot part of the name and went here. It wasn't bad, but the taste was a bit off, setting could be improved, just not super impressive. People were nice though.
